Further to BAD SERVICE

I just had to add a resolution to the previous blog entry about bad service.

My friend, took her sewing machine to another shop in town, a LQS, an all around quilter's heaven, actually. They have fabric, they have classes, they have notions or every sort, they have a sewing machine sales and repair department (but not actually for her machine - a different brand) -- the repair person there though did a "bang up" job at tuning her machine and -- THE BEST PART - the basic price was $20 LESS than the basic price at the other store and it is only about 4 blocks away, and she had her machine in a couple of days! (with no added fee for quick service).

Now, our little quilting community, just about 50 kms east of Vancouver, BC has a well established guild, with connections to many other quilt and sewing groups -- and it seems word has spread about the extremely bad service that has been delivered by the long established family owned sewing shop on Clearbrook Rd. and the shop that my friend used, located just a few blocks over on George Ferguson Way, has received high praise, well deserved. So if you are familiar with my neighbourhood, perhaps you could visit the shop that is known for its "notions" and avoid the shop that used to be "music and sewing" but is now just a sewing shop.
